It all started in 1984 when a few guys with a passion for beer set out to craft fresh, natural beers for Islanders to enjoy. As a craft brewery, we begin with the careful selection of the finest quality ingredients. Then with skill and patience we handcraft our family of natural, unpasteurized ales and lagers in small batches to allow their flavours to fully develop. Locally owned and operated in Victoria BC for over 25 years, Vancouver Island Brewery is the Island’s original craft brewery. Meet Our Craft Family
 Piper's Pale Ale has a deep copper hue and a medium body that bursts with ample Pacific Northwest hop character.
Hermann’s Dark Lager is a full bodied lager and its flavour is uniquely balanced with a subtle hop impression. A toasty malt nose is confirmed with similar flavors on the palate that take on a somewhat nutty character.
Spyhopper Honey Brown is a light amber coloured ale that has a sweet malt flavour combined with an excellent balance of hop character.
Sea Dog Amber Ale - "New" - is an amber coloured beer with a burst of hops and smooth malt finish.
Vancouver Islander Lager is a classic, North American style lager, crafted with 100% barley malt. It’s a light bodied, delicately hopped and refreshing lager.
